Contract Opportunity with MBP – Part-Time Lead for the Livestock Predation Prevention Project

A three-year applied research project – the Livestock Predation Prevention Pilot Project is being launched to identify and test ways to reduce economic loss from wildlife predation of Manitoba cattle and sheep herds.

Manitoba Agriculture and Resource Development (MARD) will provide a three-year grant for the LPPPP. It will be developed and led by the Livestock Predation Protection Working Group (LPPWG). The group includes Manitoba Beef Producers (MBP), Manitoba Sheep Association (MSA), Manitoba Goat Association, Manitoba Trappers Association, MARD, Manitoba Agricultural Services Corporation, and Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada. MBP and the MSA are providing project funding.
